About Eryn Hathaway

Eryn Hathaway is a wife, mother and public servant who has built a career around her shared passions of marketing, youth and advocacy. She is the Executive Director and Co-Founder of ICE Mentors and Eryn PiNK Girl Empowerment, an organization that empowers underserved, justice involved and Black and Brown youth to live purposeful lives fueled by personal development, academic success, leadership skills and career readiness. 

As a change-maker with an entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to empowering youth, Eryn led the organization’s brick and mortar growth, serving nearly 5,000 black and brown youth in Central Ohio while expanding the projected 2024 operating budget to $800,000 from a $0 budget since 2012. 

With 12 years of nonprofit, education and marketing experience, her areas of expertise include business development, fundraising, public relations, event production, curriculum development, branding and empowering black youth. 

Eryn’s career reflects a demonstrated track record of leading and contributing to transformational strategies and programs as a consultant for government agencies, school districts, and communities to develop research, comprehensive approaches and program curricula. Her work in this area has informed legislation, and the development and implementation of equitable and culturally-competent programs for Black girls in Central Ohio.

For her commitment to empowering the next generation of leaders and as a thought leader, Eryn was featured in the Washington Post and was awarded by Goldman Sachs as a Black Woman Impact Leader and recipient of the Goldman Sachs One Million Black Women multi-year grant. She is the recipient of the YWCA Women of Achievement “Woman on The Rise” Award. She is the 2021 The Women’s Fund EPI recipient. Eryn was also recognized as a 2019 “History Maker” by McDonald’s and Radio One and received acknowledgement and was awarded from her alma mater as a Young Alumni honoree.

Prior to Eryn’s current role she was a Brand Strategist at PMM Agency, a national award-winning brand strategy firm. Serving fortune 100 global corporations, government/public sector agencies, and influencers. 

Eryn is a native of Columbus, Ohio. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Otterbein University. She has completed Leadership and Nonprofit fundraising training. In addition, Eryn has professional development training from the Disney University and completed an internship at the “most magical place on Earth,” the Walt Disney Company.
